The Spicy Beets Tea Towel

30.00

Introducing the first textile collaboration between Eric Dyck and the mighty mo.go.po.mo! The Spicy Beets Tea Towel features an archival recipe from the Lethbridge Herald’s A Busy Bee, aka Susie Bawden, of Fleetwood Bawden Elementary School fame! Bawden was one of the first two women elected to the Lethbridge Public School Board. You can learn more about Bawden from the Lethbridge Historical Society here!

This tea towel is the result of a collaboration between mo.go.po.mo and Eric Dyck. This collaborative process included time spent with local archives, concept development and sketches, illustrative and surface textile design experiments, and mutual approval of the final product. This tea towel features machine embellishment by mo.go.po.mo., and hand-lettering by Eric Dyck.

This tea towel was printed using an eco-friendly print process that consumes no water, uses non-toxic inks and wastes less fabric than traditional methods. We hope you have many years of enjoyment from this towel. It is a linen/cotton blend that can be machine washed with a phosphate-free detergent on a warm or cool delicate setting. Tumble dry low or line dry. Iron on appropriate setting on back of the fabric.
